19-Year-Old Arrested in Elizabethtown After Infant Found with Severe Injuries
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – A 19-year-old man from Elizabethtown has been arrested following an investigation into injuries sustained by a baby.
On October 28, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspected physical abuse involving an infant. Detectives, working alongside Child Protective Services, launched an investigation into the incident.
Over the following two weeks, authorities interviewed the child’s parents and medical professionals regarding the “significant injuries” the baby had suffered.
As a result of the investigation, Zachary Foster was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.
The case remains under active investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
“The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the safety and well-being of children throughout our community,” the department said in a statement..
