LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Three 18-year-olds were arrested Sunday night following a police pursuit and are believed to be involved in an organized vehicle theft operation, according to Louisville Metro Police.
\Police say an LMPD detective was conducting surveillance on a vehicle connected to multiple car thefts when an attempted traffic stop was made in the 9700 block of Dixie Highway. The occupants — identified as Parker Campbell, Jahmari Crume, and Caleb McClean — reportedly fled the scene. Investigators said the suspects were armed with a rifle, wearing body armor, and in possession of police-style equipment.
The pursuit extended into southern Indiana, with Indiana State Police assisting after the suspects crossed the river into Sellersburg. Authorities said the trio later returned to Louisville after switching to a stolen vehicle. That vehicle was eventually abandoned, and the suspects attempted to flee on foot into a parking garage near 4th and Main Street.
All three were taken into custody inside the garage without further incident. During the investigation, detectives recovered a rifle that police say was discarded during the pursuit.
