Officials are warning the public not to approach Taylor. Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately and contact the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office at 502-543-7074 or 502-543-1262.
Taylor faces multiple charges, including sexual abuse of a child under 12 and possession of child pornography. Investigators say they discovered nude photos of the victim on his cellphone.
Authorities also allege that Taylor’s wife, 43-year-old Michelle Taylor, attempted to interfere with the investigation by trying to prevent police from searching his phone. She now faces charges of distribution of child pornography and complicity to tampering with evidence.
Court documents indicate the abuse took place in March, and both John and Michelle Taylor were arrested on April 15. Indictments were issued for the Nelson County couple in Bullitt County the following day.
