Coroner identifies remains found near Lexington park
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified human remains discovered near a Lexington park earlier this month.
Officials say the remains were found on October 25 in a wooded area off Leestown Road. After an investigation and help from the dental community, the coroner identified the remains as Jacqueline Kerry Heyman, born August 30, 1960.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn expressed appreciation to dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, and other medical professionals who assisted in confirming Heyman’s identity.
No further details about the cause or manner of death have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
