Hit-and-Run Involving Amish Buggy Leaves One in Serious Condition in Nicholas County

CARLISLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that left one Amish buggy passenger seriously injured and two others hurt Saturday night.
The crash occurred around 11:53 p.m. on Concrete Road (KY 36) when an unknown vehicle rear-ended a buggy, then fled the scene, according to KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge.
One passenger was transported to UK Hospital and remains in serious condition. A second passenger suffered fractures to both legs and was also hospitalized, while the buggy’s driver received treatment and was released.
Authorities later located the suspect vehicle, a 2008 silver Dodge Ram pickup, abandoned and unoccupied in Carlisle.
