Man Arrested After Damage to Adair County Courthouse Clock Tower

COLUMBIA, Ky. (October 17, 2025) – Columbia Police have arrested a local man in connection with vandalism to the historic Adair County Courthouse Clock Tower.
According to Columbia Police Chief Evan Burton, the department began investigating after receiving a report of damage to the courthouse clock on September 15, 2025.
After reviewing multiple surveillance videos from businesses around the Columbia Square, officers were able to identify the suspect responsible for the incident.
On October 16, 2025, Officer Trent Williams and Sergeant Jay Wilson served an Adair County District Court arrest warrant on Anthony J. Sessions, 27, of Columbia, Kentucky.
Sessions is charged with:
Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree
Criminal Trespass, 1st Degree
Chief Burton is leading the investigation with assistance from the Columbia Probation and Parole Office.
The Columbia Police Department reminds the public to report any suspicious or criminal activity by contacting the Adair County 911 Dispatch Center.
