Pedestrian hit by train in Louisa; all crossings now reopened
LOUISA, Ky. — A pedestrian was struck by a train Wednesday evening in Louisa, prompting temporary closures of several railroad crossings throughout town.
The Louisa Fire Department says the incident happened near Jackson Brothers and Jefferson Street. Police initially closed all crossings within the city limits as they waited for CSX representatives to arrive on scene.
However, Lawrence County Emergency Management has since confirmed that all railroad crossings in town have reopened.
