Scottsdale Police Searching for Couple Accused of Breaking Into Restaurant, Engaging in Sexual Acts on Property

Authorities in Scottsdale, Arizona, are investigating a strange incident after a man and woman reportedly broke into a local restaurant and engaged in sexual activity before stealing cash and other items.

The break-in happened early Saturday morning at Mon Chéri Restaurant, a popular Scottsdale spot known for its pink décor and rose-themed photo wall. When staff arrived to open the business, they found flowers scattered across the floor, a damaged cash register, and a vandalized bar area.

Surveillance footage showed the pair outside the restaurant around 4 a.m., where they allegedly engaged in sexual acts inside a floral photo display before entering the building. Once inside, the suspects reportedly stole a liquor bottle, a cellphone, and roughly $450 in cash.

Employees described the scene as “disturbing and unsettling.” One worker told local media that the restaurant prides itself on being a joyful and romantic space, but the incident left them shaken.

Police are reviewing the surveillance video as part of the ongoing investigation.
