Remains Found Near Masterson Station Park Identified as Lexington Attorney
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the remains discovered on October 25 in a wooded area near Masterson Station Park, off Leestown Road, as those of 65-year-old Jacqueline Kerry Heyman.
Heyman, a longtime Kentucky attorney, was known for her legal work and for settling a lawsuit against the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet in 2017.
Coroner Gary Ginn said dental records played a key role in confirming Heyman’s identity. The coroner’s office had previously asked for assistance from dental and medical professionals who may have treated her. Ginn expressed gratitude to members of the dental community who contributed to the identification process.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Heyman’s death remains ongoing.
