GEORGETOWN, Ky. (Scott County) — A Scott County woman is facing drug trafficking charges after police say she claimed she was delivering drugs to the sheriff’s office in exchange for a PlayStation gaming console.
According to Georgetown Police, Jennifer Ney was pulled over Monday night after officers received reports of a vehicle driving slowly and weaving across lanes on Interstate 75.
During the traffic stop, officers say Ney attempted to hide suspected drug baggies in her sweater. A search of the vehicle also uncovered a large amount of cash.
When questioned, Ney reportedly told officers she believed she would receive a PlayStation in return for taking the drugs to the sheriff’s office.
Ney was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
The case remains under investigation by Georgetown Police.
