Two arrested, facing charges in connection with 1992 cold case in Boyle County
According to WKYT and other reports, two people have been arrested in connection to a decades-old cold case out of Boyle County dating back to 1992.
Authorities say 59-year-old Anthony Manning has been indicted on charges of murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
Police also say 76-year-old Barbara Manning has been indicted on charges of complicity to murder, complicity to tampering with physical evidence, and complicity to abuse of a corpse.
According to the indictment, the victim was identified as Anna Manning, whose death reportedly occurred sometime between Sept. 14, 1992, and Nov. 7, 1992, in Boyle County.
Both Anthony and Barbara Manning are currently being held at the Boyle County Detention Center.
This remains an active case, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
