NEW UPDATE IN THE JAYDEN SPICER CASE

BREATHITT COUNTY (JACKSON KY)
The man accused in connection with 10-year-old Jayden Spicer’s death is now asking the court to lower his bond. Attorneys for Joshua Gross, Jayden’s stepfather, have filed a motion requesting that his $1 million cash bond be reduced.

The defense argues the amount is far beyond what Gross could afford and is asking for something more reasonable.

Gross is currently facing several serious charges, including complicity to murder, abuse of a corpse, and evidence tampering.

His legal team points out that he’s a lifelong Breathitt County resident with deep family roots and that he remained in the area during the investigation.

A judge is set to review the request on October 24th at 10 a.m.

Earlier this year, investigators found young Jayden’s body hidden inside a tote and buried in a shallow grave — a case that has deeply shaken the local community. Both his mother, Felicia Gross, and Joshua Gross are charged in connection with the crime.
