UPDATE on Bond Hearing / Josh & Felicia Gross Court

NEWS

10/24/2025

Bond Reduction and court date today Oct 24, 2025 11am edt for Josh & Felicia Gross

(Jackson, Kentucky) Court filings show new developments in the ongoing case involving Joshua and Felicia Gross.

On October 18, defense attorney Darrell Herald submitted a motion seeking to have Joshua Gross’s bond reduced. The filing states that Joshua has no prior felony record and did not attempt to avoid authorities during the investigation into the disappearance of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer.

Just days later, on Wednesday, attorneys representing Felicia Gross submitted their own motion—this one asking the court to remove Herald from Joshua’s case, citing what they describe as a conflict of interest.

According to the motion, Herald allegedly met with Felicia on August 14 and initially agreed to represent her before later taking Joshua as his client. Felicia’s legal team, Samantha Stevenson and Trenton Tackett, claim Herald discussed the matter with her in his office and even reached out to a Commonwealth’s Attorney on her behalf prior to switching representation.

The filing further states that Felicia believed Herald was acting as her attorney at the time and had shared information with him related to the case. No documentation of a conflict-of-interest waiver was ever filed, according to court records.

Both Joshua and Felicia Gross are scheduled to appear in court at 11 a.m. Friday.
