Update on Shots Fired During Warrant Service in Scuddy – Suspect in Custody
September 24, 2025 – Scuddy, KY Officials confirm that a female suspect opened fire on law enforcement officers during the service of an arrest warrant in Scuddy earlier today. According to reports, Perry County deputies were assisting the DEA and other agencies when shots were fired. Fortunately, no deputies, officers, or agents were injured in the incident. The female suspect was quickly taken into custody. The Kentucky State Police will be leading the investigation and will release further details when appropriate. Local officials expressed gratitude that no first responders were harmed and asked the community to continue keeping law enforcement and emergency personnel in their prayers.
