Lexington Woman Accused of Using Deceased Woman’s Identity
A Lexington woman is facing several charges after investigators say she used the identity and financial information of a woman who has passed away.
Officers arrested Victoria Best on Wednesday along Leesway Drive. According to police, Best was found in possession of multiple stolen packages, including an iPad that belonged to the deceased victim.
Detectives say they also uncovered a series of fraudulent transactions made through the victim’s bank account and credit cards.
Best is now charged with identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and receiving stolen property. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
