Laurel County Woman Charged with Murder After Fatal Overdose Investigation
A Laurel County woman is facing a murder charge following an investigation into a deadly overdose that occurred earlier this year.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Courtney Boone of East Bernstadt was taken into custody Monday evening on Kentucky Highway 192 in London.
Deputies say Boone’s arrest stems from the death of a 26-year-old man, whose toxicology results showed a fatal dose of fentanyl. Investigators believe Boone supplied the victim with the drug in the form of methamphetamine smoked through a pipe.
Following the investigation, Boone was formally charged with murder and booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center.

The case remains under investigation by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
